The author conducts a comparative analysis of approaches to discourse analysis developed within Western European, American, and Russian academic traditions and interprets media discourse as a set of processes and products of speech activity in the sphere of mass communication. Drawing on English- and Uzbek-language media materials, the study substantiates the subject–object structure of media discourse, the category of communicative background, the forms of realization of speech acts, and their typological classification.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2529"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2529_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
