The author conducts a comparative analysis of approaches to discourse analysis developed within Western European, American, and Russian academic traditions and interprets media discourse as a set of processes and products of speech activity in the sphere of mass communication. Drawing on English- and Uzbek-language media materials, the study substantiates the subject–object structure of media discourse, the category of communicative background, the forms of realization of speech acts, and their typological classification. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2700 full_text_status: public publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 10 pagerange: 4-6 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Rajabbayeva, Feruza (2026) THE CONCEPT OF MEDIA DISCOURSE AND ITS CONTEMPORARY COMMUNICATIVE ESSENCE.
