The central problem is examined from the perspective that ready-made answers and high-quality outputs cannot be equated with learners’ actual mastery of knowledge and skills. The study explores the interrelationships among self-regulated learning, cognitive offloading, gradual fading of support, independent task performance, delayed assessment, and knowledge transfer to new situations.
