title: THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING: AN ANALYSIS OF CONTEMPORARY RESEARCH AND SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES

abstract: This article presents a comparative and analytical review of contemporaryscientific research devoted to the use of artificial intelligence in foreign language teaching, particularly English language instruction. The analysis draws on findings frominternational scientific articles and dissertation studies conducted within the educationalcontext of Uzbekistan. The methods employed in these studies, the artificial intelligence(AI) tools examined, language skills, and pedagogical opportunities are reviewed. Thefindings of the analyzed studies indicate that artificial intelligence tools have the potentialto develop learners’ written and oral communication skills, increase motivation, andsupport independent learning. At the same time, the research demonstrates that theeffectiveness of artificial intelligence is not universal, as its outcomes also depend on theeducational environment, the individual characteristics of school and university students,the type of technology used, and the pedagogical methodology applied.
