It explores how generational formation relates to historical change, social inequality, cultural practices, and intergenerational relationships. Drawing on a comparative analysis of scholarship on housing, employment, economic insecurity, and family financial relations, the article considers how different social conditions shape young people's life trajectories. It argues that social generations should not be understood as homogeneous age groups but as differentiated social formations shaped by historical processes and unequal access to resources. This perspective offers a framework for understanding continuity and change in young people's lives. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2735 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 10 pagerange: 55-62 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Otamuratov, Sarvar and Atamuratova, Feruza (2026) SOCIAL GENERATIONS AND YOUTH STUDIES: RETHINKING CONTINUITY, CHANGE AND INEQUALITY IN YOUNG LIVES.
