Literary competence is conceptualized as a four-component structure, with assessment criteria, indicators, and a four-level rating scale proposed for each component. The study also analyzes the role of electronic testing platforms, digital portfolios, online forums, learning management systems (LMS), analytical rubrics, and artificial intelligence-based feedback tools in the assessment process. As a result, an integrative assessment model combining diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment stages is substantiated. %A Nilufar Oymatova %R OJS:2736 %D 2026 %J Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere %T A SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING STUDENTS’ LITERARY COMPETENCE IN A DIGITAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT: ELECTRONIC ASSESSMENT TOOLS AND CRITERIA
