Particular attention is paid to organizational transformations in the public education system, the expansion of the network of primary and seven-year schools, the condition of the material and technical resources of educational institutions, and the provision of qualified teaching staff, textbooks, and necessary equipment for the educational process. The article explores the impact of the socioeconomic consequences of the Second World War on the functioning of schools, identifies regional characteristics of the restoration of educational infrastructure, and examines differences in educational conditions between urban and rural populations. Based on a comparative analysis of quantitative and qualitative indicators, the study establishes that the expansion of the school network was accompanied by a persistent shortage of qualified teachers and insufficient provision of classrooms and material resources. The significant role of local administrative authorities, collective farms (kolkhozes), state farms (sovkhozes), and the local population in the construction and restoration of school buildings is emphasized. The article substantiates the argument that the postwar development of school education in the southern regions of Uzbekistan was a contradictory historical process that combined the expansion of access to education with the persistence of substantial socioeconomic and organizational constraints.</mods:abstract><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2026-01-01</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Article</mods:genre></mets:xmlData></mets:mdWrap></mets:dmdSec><mets:amdSec ID="TMD_eprint_2589"><mets:rightsMD ID="rights_eprint_2589_mods"><mets:mdWrap MDTYPE="MODS"><mets:xmlData><mods:useAndReproduction>
