Uzbekistan’s accession to the Turkic Council in 2019 and its ratification of the founding TURKSOY agreement in 2022 are distinguished as separate legal processes. The cultural-capital designations of Khiva (2020) and Andijan (2026), together with the institutional opportunities for cultural cooperation, are analyzed. The article notes that assessing the impact of such activities on international perceptions requires additional empirical evidence. date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2768 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 10 pagerange: 310-313 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Murodova, Oysanam (2026) UZBEKISTAN'S CULTURAL DIPLOMACY WITHIN TURKSOY: A SOFT POWER PERSPECTIVE (2019–2026).
