It reviews the development of the digital twin concept, its differences from a digital model and a digital shadow, and its functions in education. The didactic opportunities offered by this technology in laboratory instruction are classified, and the correspondence between course sections, educational training setups, and their digital models is established. Using the example of DC motor speed control, the article proposes a structure for a model laboratory exercise based on the cycle “model – real experiment – comparison – refinement.” date: 2026-01-01 date_type: published id_number: OJS:2774 full_text_status: none publication: Scientific and innovative research in the social and humanitarian sphere volume: 3 number: 10 pagerange: 111-116 refereed: 1 issn: 3060-5059 citation: Yangiboyeva, Raxbaroy (2026) DIDACTIC POTENTIAL OF DIGITAL TWIN TECHNOLOGY IN LABORATORY CLASSES ON AUTOMATIC CONTROL THEORY.
