abstract: The article analyzes the representation of historical thinking, national values, and national identity in the scholarly legacy of Academician A. R. Muhammadjonov. Drawing on the scholar’s research on Amir Temur and the Timurid era, the history of ancient cities, historical sources, toponymy, and material and spiritual culture, the article highlights the role of historical knowledge in the spiritual life of society. Furthermore, it explores the importance of the comparative study of historical sources, the objective interpretation of past experiences, and the connection between historical heritage and the education and upbringing of the younger generation.
