It is noted that, along with economic benefits, these projects had a negative impact on the environment. In particular, the inefficient use of water resources during this period led to a rise in groundwater levels, soil salinization, and pollution of water resources, which in turn resulted in the emergence of a complex ecological situation in the region.2026-01-01Article
