Глаголы, обозначающие поведение, характер и социальные отношения человека, занимают важное место в лексико-семантической системе языка. В ходе исследования были отобраны глаголы с положительной, отрицательной и нейтральной коннотацией, проанализированы их семантическая структура, употребление и культурные особенности. Установлено, что в английском языке преобладают фразовые глаголы и краткие конструкции, тогда как в узбекском языке характерны составные глаголы, эмоционально-экспрессивная окраска и переносные значения.
