Abstract

The article reviews classical and modern methodologies for studying youth material well-being. It considers theoretical concepts of human capital, social mobility, and relative poverty. Quantitative, qualitative, and integrative approaches are analyzed, alongside the advantages and risks of applying innovative information and communication technologies (online surveys, social networks, Big Data).
