THE IMPORTANCE OF PLAY IN INCREASING VOCABULARY IN CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

This article examines the pedagogical importance of play activities in expanding the vocabulary of children with special educational needs. The study analyzes speech development challenges, particularly limited vocabulary and difficulties in communication. The effectiveness of role-playing and didactic games in speech development is substantiated. During play activities, children actively acquire new words, use them in speech, and increase their communicative engagement. The results show that play activity is a natural and effective tool for speech development.
