FUNCTIONAL AND DISCURSIVE PARAMETERS OF DIPLOMATIC TERMINOLOGY IN THE RUSSIAN AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

The article examines the functional and discursive parameters of diplomatic terminology in the Russian and Uzbek languages. The author analyzes diplomatic texts of various genres (verbal notes, international legal documents) to identify the specifics of term functioning in real discourse. Particular attention is paid to pragmatic, text-forming, nominative, and legal functions of terminological units. The comparative analysis shows that despite the general functional equivalence of diplomatic terms in both languages, differences exist in their degree of standardization, nominative structure, and semantic transparency.
