PECULIARITIES OF THE PLOT STRUCTURE OF UZBEK FOLK EPICS

The article presents the results of a study on the plot structure of Uzbek folk epics and the system of their main motifs. Based on epics such as “Alpomish,” “Kuntugmish,” and “Rustamkhan,” the plot composition, key ideas, and stages of development are analyzed. The study identifies the direct role of motifs such as dream, journey, trial, battle, marriage, and return in shaping the plot. The results show that the plot in Uzbek epics is constructed on a strict structural basis, where the sequence of motifs performs important artistic and compositional functions.
