THE POETIC FUNCTION OF THE METRICAL SYSTEM IN HAMZA’S POETRY

This article examines the artistic characteristics of the metrical system in the poetry of Hamza Hakimzoda Niyoziy. The study analyzes the use of aruz, syllabic, and free verse meters in Hamza’s poetic works, as well as their respective poetic functions. It explores how these metrical forms are deliberately selected in accordance with the thematic and ideological content of the works, and evaluates the extent to which they contribute to enhancing the aesthetic impact of the texts. The findings demonstrate that, in Hamza’s poetry, the metrical system functions not merely as a formal device, but as a significant poetic element.
