CONSTRUCTION OF GENDER IDENTITY THROUGH LANGUAGE: ANALYSIS OF CONTEMPORARY LINGUISTIC THEORIES AND DISCURSIVE PRACTICES

This article explores the incorporation of the concept of gender into scientific discourse and provides a theoretically grounded analysis of its semantic and conceptual dimensions within contemporary linguistic frameworks. The study systematically examines the stages of development, theoretical foundations, and methodological approaches of linguistic gender studies. In addition, it clarifies the object, scope, and key research questions of gender linguistics from a theoretical perspective. The paper also offers a comparative analysis of gender-related research conducted within Uzbek, English, and Russian linguistic traditions.
