PEDAGOGICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR DEVELOPING COMPETENCE IN OBSERVING GRAMMATICAL NORMS AMONG SENIOR SCHOOL STUDENTS

This article examines the pedagogical foundations for developing competence in observing grammatical norms among senior school students in general education schools. It highlights the role of grammatical norms in language education, their importance in developing students’ oral and written speech culture, and the didactic factors that contribute to the formation of grammatical literacy. The article substantiates that senior school students’ ability to observe grammatical norms should be developed not only through memorization of rules, but also through their conscious application in communicative situations, text analysis, creative writing, problem-based tasks, and reflective learning. The study emphasizes the interrelation between speech normativity, accuracy of expression, logical coherence, and stylistic appropriateness. It also reveals the importance of teachers’ methodological competence, the content of learning materials, interactive methods, and assessment criteria in developing students’ grammatical competence.
