PREFIXATION OF GEOGRAPHICAL TERMS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

This article compares the prefixal formation of geographical terms in English and Uzbek. During the study, the semantic and formal features of terms formed using the English prefixes sub-, trans-, semi- and others, and the Uzbek prefixes be-, ser-, no- and a number of others, were analyzed. The similarities and differences of the terminological systems in the two languages ​​are further clarified through examples.
