THE AESTHETICS OF LONELINESS IN WORLD LITERATURE OF THE DIGITAL AGE

The article examines the aesthetics of loneliness in world literature of the digital age. It explores the artistic representation of personal isolation in the context of digitalization and the transformation of communicative space. Based on the novels “The Circle” by Dave Eggers and “iPhuck 10” by Viktor Pelevin, the study analyzes the motifs of virtual identity, the crisis of authentic communication, and human alienation in media space. Particular attention is paid to artistic strategies of depicting loneliness, including fragmented narration, media textuality, and simulated communication. The article concludes that contemporary literature reinterprets loneliness as one of the key existential conditions of the individual in the digital era.
