STRATEGIC INITIATIVES, INNOVATIVE FORMATS AND THE STRENGTHENING OF HISTORICAL CONTINUITY IN UZBEKISTAN’S CULTURAL DIPLOMACY IN CENTRAL ASIA

The article analyzes Uzbekistan’s cultural diplomacy in Central Asia through the categories of strategic initiatives, innovative formats and historical continuity. Cultural diplomacy is interpreted not as an auxiliary element of foreign policy, but as a systematic mechanism for strengthening regional trust, shared historical memory and humanitarian cooperation. The study draws on legal documents, presidential speeches, local historiographical literature and international theoretical works on cultural diplomacy. The findings show that Uzbekistan’s initiatives are moving beyond cultural days and festival exchanges toward digital media platforms, museum and archive cooperation, joint educational programmes and integrated regional tourism products. The article concludes that the long-term effectiveness of cultural diplomacy depends on historical continuity, source-based accuracy and practical regional cooperation mechanisms.
