REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF QUANTITY IN THE SYSTEM OF LINGUISTIC UNITS

This article examines the problem of the representation of the concept of quantity in the languagesystem based on materials from the Uzbek language. The features of the manifestation of quantity at thephonological, morphological, lexical-semantic, and syntactic levels are analyzed. During the research, it issubstantiated that the concept of quantity is expressed not only through the category of number, but alsothrough various linguistic means at all levels of language. Special attention is paid to the gradual (gradation-based) nature of the concept of quantity, demonstrating that it is a universal cognitive category reflectingthe connection between language and thought.
