INFORMATION ON THE HISTORY OF CENTRAL ASIA IN THE WORKS OF MEDIEVAL CHINESE TRAVELERS AND ENVOYS

The records of Chinese travelers and ambassadors from the 12th–13th centuries contain a wealth of information related to the history of Central Asia. This study, which addresses a pressing topic, synthesizes information about the Mongol military campaign in Central Asia. In particular, it discusses the analysis of sources related to the peoples of China and Central Asia, and it reveals issues concerning their study and interpretation.
