Abstract

The article compares the prefatory sections of Alisher Navoi’s “Saddi Iskandariy” and Ahmedi’s “Iskendernâme”. The sequence of conventional units, concepts of word and authorship, and preparation of the ideal-ruler theme reveal two distinct compositional models within a shared literary tradition.
