Abstract
The article examines the role of magical numbers (3, 7, 9, 12, and 40) in representing epic scale in Uzbek and English folk tales. The study analyzes their functions in shaping epic space, time, quantity, and repetition. The findings reveal that magical numbers serve not only as numerical indicators but also as symbolic and poetic devices that organize the plot and enhance the artistic impact of fairy tales.
