AN ANALYSIS OF ABU ALI IBN SINA’S VIEWS ON TIME

This article provides a systematic analysis of Abu Ali Ibn Sina’s (Avicenna’s) philosophical views on the concept of time, focusing on its ontological and epistemological dimensions. The study examines Ibn Sina’s interpretation of time as one of the fundamental forms of existence and as an objective measure of motion and change. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between time, space, motion, and the material world within his philosophical system. The article also explores the influence of Aristotle’s philosophy on Ibn Sina’s understanding of time, highlighting both the continuity and the distinctive features of his interpretation through a comparative analysis. Furthermore, the study evaluates the significance of Ibn Sina’s theory of time in the development of Islamic philosophy and its intellectual impact on later Eastern and Western philosophical traditions. The research is based on historical, comparative, logical, and hermeneutic methods, enabling a comprehensive examination of the concept of time in Ibn Sina’s works. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the philosophical essence of time in Ibn Sina’s legacy and enrich the theoretical foundations for contemporary philosophical studies on the nature of time.
