Abstract

This article presents a methodology for developing students’ aesthetic tastethrough the design of national clothing and accessories in technology education. Project-based learning was selected as the primary methodological approach, and the possibilitiesof integrating atlas and adras fabrics, traditional skullcap ornaments, national jewelrymotifs, and other accessory elements into contemporary design solutions were analyzed.Four project tasks were developed to enhance students’ aesthetic perception, aestheticevaluation, aesthetic choice, and creative-aesthetic transformation skills. In addition, a100-point assessment model was proposed based on the criteria of understandingnational sources, harmony of color and form, compositional integrity, creativetransformation, functionality, and justification of design decisions. The results indicatethat integrating national clothing and accessory design with project-based activitiescontributes to the development of students’ compositional and creative thinking, conscious attitudes toward national cultural heritage, and competence in makingindependent aesthetic decisions.
