Abstract

The article is devoted to a comparative-typological analysis of models of thinking reflected in Russian and Uzbek folklore. Based on fairy tales, bylinas, dastans, and proverbs, the study examines universal and distinctive features of national worldviews. It is demonstrated that the analyzed texts of Russian folklore place greater emphasis on individual ingenuity and the struggle against external evil, whereas Uzbek folklore more prominently reflects collective responsibility, loyalty to one's lineage, and moral resilience. The article concludes by highlighting the role of folklore in shaping the cultural and cognitive characteristics of peoples.
