МЕТОДОЛОГИЯ ТЕОРИИ ПАФОСА И МОДУСОВ ХУДОЖЕСТВЕННОСТИ

The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of artisticity, modes of artisticity, and pathos as key aesthetic categories in literary studies. Artisticity is defined as an integral quality that determines the aesthetic nature of a literary work. The mode of artisticity is interpreted as an aesthetic regime of artistic existence that reflects the author’s position and the hero’s relationship with reality. Pathos is examined as the ideological and emotional core of a literary text, and its distinctions from the mode of artisticity are clarified. Based on a comparative analysis of the ideas of Aristotle, Hegel, Belinsky, Northrop Frye, and contemporary scholars, the study substantiates that the mode of artisticity constitutes a broader aesthetic category than pathos, encompassing the structural and semantic organization of artistic meaning.
